Finding creative
ways to incorporate flaxseed to meals can be a challenge.They have a crisp,
chewy texture with a nutty flavour. One popular technique is
incorporating ground flaxseed to food preparations. Ground flax seeds are the
most nutritious as grinding them makes easier to digest and helps release their

incorporating masala's to ground flax seed taking delicious to a whole
different level.
BENEFITS OF FLAX SEED
Flaxseed is a plant based source of omega-3 fatty acids, a nutrient whose health benefits are immense. Flax oil is the richest vegetable source of omega-3, containing over 116,000 milligrams per one-cup serving (2).
1. Flaxseed Fiber
- 4 Tbsp flax meal = 8 grams of fiber.
- Great for detoxing of the body. They contain a gummy soluble fiber called mucilage which protects intestinal flora.
- Helps keep bowel movements regular eliminating toxins.

They also provide hydration when applied topically by locking in moisture and preventing water loss.
RECIPE: FLAX SEED MASALA BURGER
1 Cup Black Eyed Beans
1 Small Sweet Potato
½ Cup Soy Granules
1 Medium Finely Minced Red Onion
3 Garlic Cloves
2 Green Chillies
4 Tablespoon FlaxMax Masala
1 Egg (Optional)
Finely Minced Coriander Leaves
Salt to Taste
Chilli Flakes to Taste
Pressure cook the
beans and sweet potato until cooked but not mushy. Drain the water and set
aside, and mash the beans and sweet potato together. Add cooked soy granules,
and rest of the ingredients (the egg is optional) and mash it together until
blended. Form patty (this ingredient quantity makes 4) and either bake until
crisp or cook it on stove top in a tablespoon of olive oil. Serve with condiment of choice with a side of
sweet potato fries and greens.
